The Art.Act.Disrupt project successfully implemented a series of public interventions aimed at addressing social transformative themes and cross-cutting issues. Four talented artists and their teams were carefully selected through an Open Call for artists residing in Cyprus, each presenting compelling proposals to activate communities and instigate meaningful dialogue through the power of art.
Art.Act.Disrupt is a collaboration of the youth organization YEU Cyprus and the creative studio ABR, both committed to fostering creativity, innovation, and positive social change. The project is dedicated to leveraging the transformative potential of art in addressing societal challenges, bridging Civil Society Organizations and the artistic community.
The following artists and their projects were featured under the ART-ACT-DISRUPT public interventions:
- Screen Takeover by PASHIAS
- Ban-quet by Lamarina
- Plea for the Protection of Children’s Rights by the ‘Under the tent, it’s still raining’ anonymous collective.
- Twenty-Three, created a mural in the heart of Nicosia city.
The Art.Act.Disrupt project benefits from a grant under the Active Citizens Fund Cyprus programme, funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway,
through the EEA and Norway Grants 2014-2021.
