“Youth together for the forest of Xylokastro” part II- Volunteering opportunity (2/2/20-31/3/20)

This volunteering project is a collaboration between YEU Cyprus and Orfeas Organisation in Greece. 

In this environmental project the volunteers will work with instructors of the municipality of Xylokastro-Evrostini for the natural pine forest that is located on the coast of the town.

Duration of the mobility: 2nd of February 2020- 31st of March 2020.

Travel Dates: Arrival date 1st of February 2020- Departure date 1st of April 2020.

The working hours are between 9.30 to 14.00 depending on the daily plan. The main tasks are:

• Protection of the forest and the coast of Xylokastro.

• Taking care of the natural environment of the town.

• Support the environmental activities of the municipality.

• Taking care of parks, the small harbour and the playground in the forest.

• Participating in activities which are prepared for and by the local community according to the seasonal needs, e. g.:summer festivals, school fairs, ESC promotional campaigns.

Accommodation , food and travel expenses are fully covered by the programme. 

We are looking for 2 open- minded people who are interested to take care of the nature, explore a new country and be an active member of the local community.
